My name is Elma Fowler, I was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. I moved to Texas, where I met and married my husband. I have been married for over twenty years, I have three biological children and a step-son. We currently have one child entering a new career after completing college, two children (seniors) in college and the fourth is in the tenth grade. I am very active in my community,
I started my career with Bastrop Independent School District, as a Mathematics and Science teacher at Gateway Alternative School. Prior to Bastrop Independent School District, I taught fourth grade Mathematics and Science and middle school Science for Austin Independent School District. I have a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Business. I chose to transition my career to Bastrop ISD after many years with Austin Independent School District. Due to the districts known history of being family orientated the transition was quite easy. I was very fortunate to receive a job offer as a Gateway DAEP Middle School teacher, which has allowed me to grow in leaps and bounds. I am looking forward to serving and ensuring the success of all students.
